Oldskool Soulshow van 12 augustus 1993

Vanavond om 20:00 uur tijd voor de Oldskool Soulshow en ‘t is donderdag dus gaan we terug naar de beginjaren van Radio 538. Van 1992 tot 1995 werd de Soulshow daar live uitgezonden op donderdagavond en ook nog korte tijd op zondag.

De show duurde toen maar liefst 3 uur waarvan we in de meeste gevallen uitsluitend de eerste 2 uur konden vinden. Het komt uit het (cassette) archief van Arjan Rietvink die soms de pauzetoets indrukte o.a. bij reclameblokken…… Dat is keurig hersteld door DJ Foefur. Radio 538 was toentertijd ook herkenbaar aan het heftig pompende geluid….. dat kunnen we er helaas nooit meer uithalen Njoy!!

In deze aflevering maar liefst 4 blokjes met Soulnieuws en een gloednieuwe nummer één in de US Billboard Hot R&B Singles. Liefhebbers van C.B. Milton kunnen vanavond kaartjes winnen voor zijn optreden in discotheek ’t Teejater in Naaldwijk.
