• Soulshow redactrice Annemarie schrijft aan Ferry dat ze maar liefst zes soulnieuwtjes heeft!
• Internationaal soulnieuws over; The Commodores, Ray Parker JR., Ashford & Simpson, Quincy Jones, Rick James, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations. 
• Je hoort Gregg Diamond and his Bionic Boogie – Chains, met zang van Luther Vandross.
• Twee nieuwe binnenkomers in de Disco Action Top 20. De eerste nieuweling vinden we op nummer 19; Daryl Hall &John Oates – I can’t go for that (12″)

Wat hield ons bezig in 1982;

Binnenland: De actiegroep ‘Stop de Munitietrein’ blokkeert bij Roodeschool de spoorbaan om een, omstreden,  Amerikaans munitietransport van de Eemshaven naar Duitsland tegen te houden. Demonstranten ketenen zich vast aan de trein en de rails. De politie ontruimt het baanvak. Daarna komt het bij het hoofdstation in Groningen tot een handgemeen tussen de M.E. en honderden actievoerders. Ook de volgende dagen zouden de transporten veel vertraging oplopen door protestacties.

Buitenland: De Russische leider Leonid Brezjnev kondigt aan dat de Sovjet-Unie haar arsenaal aan middellangeafstandsraketten in het Europese deel van Rusland zal bevriezen.

Sport:  Jan Raas wint voor de vijfde keer de Nederlandse wielerklassieker Amstel Gold Race.
