Deze Soulshow is uitgezonden op donderdag 13 augustus 1981 bij  Tros Radio op Hilversum 3, met daarin o.a.:

• Drie nieuwe binnenkomers in de Disco Action Top 20. De eerste vinden we op nummer 20; Peaches & Herb – Free way.
• Het is bloedje heet in Hilversum, warm en drukkend. Ferry is een broodje gaan eten en een koel pilsje gaan drinken……..en wat hij toen zag!?
• Weinig import vanavond, vanwege een staking in Amerika. Maar Ferry heeft toch nog wat kunnen regelen.

Wat hield ons bezig in 1981;

Binnenland: Op de Nederlandse televisie gaat op 5 januari 1981 het jeugdjournaal van start. De presentatie is in handen van Leontien Ceulemans.

Buitenland: Een stuntman beklimt langs de buitenmuur de 110 verdiepingen hoge Willis Tower in Chicago. Het beklimmen van gebouwen wordt mode.

Sport: Het WK Schaatsen van 1981 was voor Hilbert van der Duim een drama. Op de 5.000 meter stopte hij een rondje te vroeg in de race tegen de Noor Amund Sjöbrend. Van der Duim is trouwens nooit gevallen over een poepje.
