• De Disco Action Top 20, 14e jaargang nummer 42 met 2 nieuwe binnenkomers. Op de 18e plaatste vinden we de hoogste nieuwe, en de eerste komt binnen op nummer 19, Kool & The Gang – Victory. De hoogste nieuwe vinden we op nummer 18, The Commodores – Going To The Bank. 
• Vanavond de primeur van de nieuwe lp van Aretha Franklin, met de titel Aretha. Het album is geproduceerd door Keith Richards van de Rolling Stones, Narada Michael Walden en Aretha zelf.
• We horen Janet Jackson’s Control in een speciale remix
• Daryl Pandy is in de studio voor een interview. Hij is de excentrieke zanger van Farley ‘Jackmaster’ Funk’s Love can’t Turn Around waarin Jesse Saunders de DJ en producer is en Daryl de zanger en preformer. Daryl Pandy is ons in 2011 ontvallen RIP.

Wat hield ons bezig in 1986;

Binnenland: zich af van de overige Nederlandse Antillen en wordt een autonoom onderdeel van het koninkrijk der Nederlanden als status aparte.

Buitenland: Bij een brand bij het chemiebedrijf Sandoz in het Zwitserse Bazel stromen met het bluswater grote hoeveelheden giftige chemicaliën in de Rijn.

Sport: Greg LeMond wint in juli voor het eerst de Tour de France ofwel de Ronde van Frankrijk. Hij was de eerste niet-europeaan die de Tour de France won.

Muziek: Sandra Kim wint voor België het Eurovisie Songfestival met het nummer “J’aime la vie”. Het is dan voor het eerst dat België dit festival wint.
